Licensed Psychologist Director - Torrance State Hospital

As a Licensed Psychologist Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of treatment plans for individuals in the Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program. You will be involved in ensuring that all clinical protocols and therapies align with policies, procedures, and regulations. You will also work to maintain a safe and cost-effective environment for program participants. Additionally, you will provide individual and group therapy, as well as coordinate daily operations and training with other staff members who specialize in mental health and sexual offending. As an employee in this role, you will be given the responsibility to make decisions on a routine basis using your professional training, job knowledge, and competency. For unusual or high-risk situations, you will collaborate with your supervisor to determine the best course of action.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
• Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual disability, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires the possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of psychology or possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. [Pennsylvania licensure must be obtained within one year of employment]

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
