Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our branch operations, driving efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you'll manage day-to-day activities, support corporate initiatives, and ensure your team delivers exceptional service and results.

What You'll Do:


Leadership & Talent Development



  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team through hiring, training, and coaching.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development for all direct reports.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence while upholding company policies and standards.


Customer & Commercial Management



  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve escalated issues promptly.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify opportunities for growth and new business development.


Business Operations & Financial Management



  • Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across order processing, inventory control, and financial reconciliation.
  • Manage branch P&L, including gross profit, margins, operating expenses, and EBITDA performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and General Management to develop, execute, and monitor annual budgets.
  • Analyze trends and variances to implement corrective actions that ensure operational and financial goals are achieved.
  • Oversee fuel pricing, lubricant pricing, and vendor rebate processes to maximize profitability.


Inventory & Supply Chain Management



  • Supervise purchasing, warehouse, and inventory control functions to ensure optimal stock levels and operational accuracy.
  • Manage cycle counts, physical inventories, and product movement strategies to reduce waste and minimize slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Partner with corporate supply chain and vendors to maintain product availability and pricing accuracy.


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Collaborate with corporate teams on training, systems, and best practices to drive consistency and alignment across the organization.
  • Integrate and execute corporate programs and initiatives within the branch operation.
  • Foster strong communication between warehouse, sales, and back-office functions to enhance efficiency and customer service.



What We're Looking For:



  • At least 2 years of experience leading or managing a team
  • A valid CDL Class A with Tanker endorsement
  • Experience in the oil and lubricants industry is a strong plus
  • Background in inventory management preferred
  • Previous dispatch experience is a plus
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with operational systems (e.g., DM2 or similar ERP tools).
  • Operations management experience strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
