A Day in the Life:

Installs repairs and removes various instruments and their component parts in an efficient manner with respect to safety, quality, and sanitation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Production

Position Details:

  • Compensation: $43.25 per hour
  • Schedule: This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including 8, 10, or 12 hour schedules, which will include off-shifts and weekends
  • On-Call Availability: Require to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide coverage as needed

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to PLCs, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment
  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment
  • Conducts electrical planning, preventative maintenance, and programming for process logic control systems (PLC's) platforms, instrumentation, and human-machine interfaces (HMI)
  • Installs repairs and calibrates electronic to pneumatic converters or pneumatic to electronic converters or a combination of both
  • Repairs electronic equipment instruments such as ultrasonic, radar, and other conventional level controls
  • Repairs electronic equipment instruments such as photo eyes, proximity controls, and associated equipment and controls
  • Repairs and calibrates temperature sensing instruments with capillary and bulb, instruments with thermocouple and electric output and resistive temperature detectors (RTD's)
  • Be prepared to work a flexible, 8, 10, or 12 hour schedule that will include off shifts and weekends.
  • Works on-call status as required based on rotating schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or Journeyman Instrument Maintenance/Electrical Technician (Preferred)
  • 2-3 years of equivalent experience programming, troubleshooting and repairing PLC's (Siemens PCS7/WinnCC, Rockwell/Allen Bradley) and distributive control systems.
  • High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required
  • Experience in AutoCAD (Preferred)
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration (Preferred)
  • AS-i/Profibus networks (Preferred)
  • Comprehension of electrical schematics, blue prints, and P&ID drawings.
  • Experienced in different brands of variable frequency drives
  • Experienced with maintenance, set-up, and calibration of all types of process instrumentation
  • Teamwork - able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
