Make it happen at Hopkins!

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system, providing expert pediatric care for infants, children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. Ranked top 40 in multiple specialties by U.S. News & World Report 2025-26, we provide access to innovative treatments and therapies. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services, we are the regional pediatric referral center for Florida's west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is recognized as a Magnet(R) designated hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the largest and most prominent nurses credentialing organization in the world. At Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, we stand in the forefront of healthcare and nursing practice, and we stand for our patients. Join a high-functioning and cohesive team in a 15 bed ICU dedicated to the care of infants and children with small lungs, including related ECMO and surgical conditions. The team defines and focuses on the best in lung protective ventilation, recovery from hypoxic-ischemic stress, brain protection, and frequently employs high quality ECMO to support lung recovery and growth. Diseases treated include congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a variety of forms of acute neonatal and pediatric respiratory failure requiring ECMO, related surgical conditions in these patients, and complex airway support. A significant number of patients also have cardiac defects which complicate their care and expand the opportunities for learning. Surgical procedures including CDH repair and ECMO cannulation/decannulation occur regularly in this ICU. The unit is nationally and internationally recognized, and most families come from beyond Florida. Applicants can anticipate high levels of care consistency and job satisfaction, as cause and effect of helping create amazing outcomes in these critically ill infants and children. Staffed 24/7 with critical care boarded surgical and medical attendings, and sometimes critical care fellows, the providers can expect a supportive environment with graduated independence and leadership that is dedicated to their educational development. Procedures include intubations, chest tubes, line placements, and minor surgical procedures.
