This position is responsible for identifying and designing outcomes studies related to clinical and financial opportunities. They will collaborate with clinical, business, and operations staff to ensure a comprehensive model is established with accurate data. This position will also be responsible for assisting department leadership with medication safety expertise as needed. This person shall serve on a department committee related to clinical oversight in addition to serving as the Residency Research Preceptor. This position will also be required to serve as a clinician through the occasional management of patient care to maintain a working competency.

Identify and provide clinical and financial outcomes study design 2. Assist with pharmacy policies and procedures as they relate to the patient management program and medication safety 3. Serve on Pharmacy and Therapeutic committees within the organization 4. Act as an Industry Liaison to collaborate on white papers and studies as identified 5. Provide department leadership with routine updates and progress on outcomes studies 6. Serve as a member of the department clinical oversight committee 7. Serve as Residency Research Preceptor 8. Assist leadership and other clinicians with oversight of Outcomes Medication Therapy Management program 9. Collaborate with department, clinic, and enterprise leaders to obtain research grants 10. Provide department leadership with routine analysis regarding medication safety barriers, opportunities, and solutions 11. Attend routine clinical team meetings for all areas of the department for study needs and input 12. Attend other required department, enterprise, and national meetings 13. Present at department, enterprise, and national meetings as subject matter expert when required 14. Serve as a Staff Clinician for patient care on a frequent but limited basis 15. Assist Pharmacy Compliance Coordinator with Medication Near Misses and Error Events 16. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to establish a comprehensive outcomes study design PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
