Occupational Therapist - Hummelstown, PA

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver's license
• License Certification (current PA OTR / Licensure)
• Bachelor's Degree (Graduate of an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program)
• 0-1 years (experience working w/ IDD Preferred)

We are seeking a Occupational Therapist to join our team in our Hummelstown, PA location.

Position Details

• Provides evaluation/consultation in all areas of occupational therapy following Merakey policy and procedures.
• Determine the need for upper extremity orthotics and device; prepare, monitors and revise them as needed.
• Creates and maintains appropriate documentation (including assessments, and appropriate tools to assess and goal planning) with accuracy and completeness.
• Develops, conducts, and participates in training to all parties involved in providing successful therapy.
• Works with Psychology Department on equipment required for behavioral intervention.
• Collaborates with team to determine individual equipment needs, including wheelchair adaptations and feeding equipment in the Program and Residential setting.
• Participates in developing work assignments for the Motor Development Specialist(s) in the area of Program implementation.
• Makes recommendations to Program Director concerning overall goals, objectives and functioning of Therapy Department; assists in revision of Department policy and procedure.
• Participates in OT/PT clinics.
• Performs related work as required.
