Our patients include those with leukemia (ALL and AML), brain tumors, sarcomas (rhabdomyosarcoma, osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma), neuroblastoma, Wilms tumor, and other malignancies, as well as patients being treated for non-malignant diseases such as sickle cell disease, aplastic anemia, thalassemia, and SCID. We offer cutting-edge treatments including CAR-T therapy and immunotherapy, providing comprehensive physical, psychological, and spiritual care from birth to 26 years of age. Our team works closely with colleagues in Radiation Oncology and Surgery to ensure continuity of care, emphasizing patient-centered, family-centered, and high-quality nursing care. Learn more about our benefits here. https://jhh.mybenefitsjhhs.com/ Position Details: Role: Pediatric Oncology Inpatient Unit Nurse Shifts: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric oncology patients, including assessments, medication administration, symptom management, and emotional support. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge planning. Monitor for and respond to clinical changes, including managing complications and emergencies. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient care activities. Foster a safe, supportive, and child-friendly environment conducive to healing and comfort. Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; applicants enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and planning to complete within five years will also be considered. Active Maryland or Compact RN license required. BLS CPR certification required. Salary Range: Minimum 36.31/hour - Maximum 56.28/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
