Here is what you will be doing each day: The Area Starbucks Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of multiple licensed Starbucks locations within a defined area or property. This leader ensures that each location consistently delivers the Starbucks brand experience, maintains operational excellence, and achieves financial and guest satisfaction goals. The position requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to coach and develop store leaders and associates in alignment with both Starbucks and company standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee multiple Starbucks locations to ensure adherence to Starbucks brand standards, operational policies, and quality controls.
- Conduct regular site visits and operational audits to assess consistency, cleanliness, and customer experience.
- Ensure each store meets or exceeds performance metrics in sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Team Development & Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and develop Store Managers and shift leaders, ensuring a pipeline of talent.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and promote a culture of accountability and recognition.
- Foster an environment that reflects Starbucks' mission and values while aligning with company goals.
- Financial & Business Management:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for all assigned locations.
- Monitor labor, cost of goods, and operational expenses to achieve financial targets.
- Analyze sales trends and implement action plans to drive revenue growth.
- Brand Standards & Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with Starbucks licensing agreements, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Partner with Starbucks corporate representatives to ensure alignment on promotions, menu changes, and training initiatives.
- Guarantee that all marketing and merchandising meet brand guidelines.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure that every store delivers outstanding guest service and the authentic Starbucks experience.
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly and effectively.
- Drive customer engagement and loyalty through community and brand initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of multi-unit retail or food & beverage management experience (Starbucks or other branded coffee concepts preferred).
- Strong leadership background with proven success in team development and operational excellence.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, interpret financial statements, and drive performance results.
- Proficient in POS systems, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software.
- Certifications: Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications as required by state or local law.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced hospitality and retail setting requiring regular travel between store locations.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
