Key Responsibilities



  • Manage day-to-day client communication for current and new customers.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels.


  • Formulate and execute comprehensive account strategies aligned with the organization's overall business objectives to drive volume and revenue growth.
  • Analyze market trends and global economic factors to anticipate potential risks and opportunities within account portfolio.
  • Attend relevant business meetings and conferences to explore new opportunities and leads.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that strengthen relationships with key regional clients and customers.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and long-term value for both the company and its partners.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends across multiple commodities to inform strategic planning and client solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic plans.
  • Identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development efforts in emerging regional markets.
  • Collaborate with existing customer base to develop new revenue opportunities.
  • 50% travel required - must be available for travel as required for customers and business partners.



Mandatory Qualifications:



  • At least 5 years of business development, sales, marketing and/or customer service experience in the rail transportation and/or logistics industry.
  • High level attention to detail.


  • Project and time management skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems positively and professionally.


  • Excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience using databases.


  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Valid Driver's License



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Broad experience in railroad operations.
  • Broad experience in distribution applications.
  • Prior experience using CRM system.
