The Associated Clinic of Psychology is hiring a full-time Medical Records Associate. This person supports the clinical and administrative processes to ensure that medical records functions are completed accurately and timely in meeting the needs of the practice. This person must have strong customer service skills and promote a philosophy of patient-centered care to meet the needs of a very busy mental healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
Scanning of documents to client accounts in EHR
Sorting and organizing client visit questionnaires
Process Release of Information requests in accordance with HIPAA, state/federal regulations, and clinic policies
Review and respond to incoming faxes and emails
Retrieve paper charts from off-site storage facility (reliable transportation needed for this)
Review files for upcoming appointments for needed paperwork updates
Respond to phone calls and emails
Requirements:
High School education
1 year of experience auditing Medical Records (preferred)
Previous experience working in the medical field (previous medical records experience is preferred)
Previous computer experience with the ability to learn new applications and work processes
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent prioritization skills, dependable, flexible, and a team player
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment with high critical thinking skills
Proven ability to learn job skills and provide patient services
