Waste Management Engineering Intern Summer 2026

As a Waste Management Engineering intern, you will work on a variety of technical and engineering assignments.

You will report to the Waste Mangement Senior Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid, full-time hybrid summer position.

• Prepare engineering documents (calculations, system and operational descriptions, licensing documents, and procurement specifications)
• Development/management of system/facility requirements for waste management, equipment sizing calculations, support of process optimization initiatives
• Collaboration with drafting to develop system diagrams (flow, instrumentation & control, general arrangement & layout)
• Participation in preparation of proposals (technical descriptions, client requirement identification and management)
• Working in international teams (position based in US, collaboration with US and European technical and business teams)

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Complete Sophomore year of college
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• No relocation assistance provided

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
