Job Description

Inside Sales Manager Summary

The Inside Sales Manager assists in the management of the Company's intercompany sales activities (e.g., maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships and contact with customers in the assigned sales territory). The Inside Sales Manager will support with oversight of administrative sales activities, overall.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work safely. Adhere to all company and regulatory EH&S and 6-S policies and procedures.
  • Perpetuate sales bookings through direct contact and technical liaison with customers.
  • Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming orders.
  • Develop new accounts and markets.
  • Report on industry and market trends to Sales and senior leadership.
  • Maintain/control inventory levels for finished goods as directed by management.
  • Track/expedite production orders.
  • Assist accounting with collections.
  • Perform order entry/understand guidelines of contract review.
  • Interface between customers and Manufacturing/Technology concerning specification/technical capability.
  • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular sales forecast for assigned account base.
  • Develop interaction of the technical and metallurgical services group with our customers.
  • As necessary, visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Additional hours may occasionally be needed in order to ensure all deliverables are completed timely.

Education and experience

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical-related sales experience, preferrable in the alloy or aerospace industries
  • Familiar with technical aspects of CM alloys and concepts of manufacturing processes preferred.
