This onsite role is responsible for establishing, reviewing, and maintaining the master production schedule in alignment with the Sales, Inventory, and Operations (SIOP) consensus plan. Establishing the master schedule will involve leading cross functionally with operations leaders, supply chain leaders, production planners, finance, and value stream leaders to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve the company objectives related to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory investment. The master scheduler will be responsible for analyzing scenarios that balance demand and supply while optimizing inventory and minimizing the impact of demand volatility.
This is a key leadership position requiring an experienced SIOP leader able to facilitate and drive results in a fast-paced and demanding, growth environment, leveraging their strong interpersonal and leadership skills. This role will be challenged to enhance our Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process across the enterprise to improve customer satisfaction, profitability, inventory turns and working capital.
Key Accountabilities:
- Translate the monthly SIOP consensus plan by product family to a detailed weekly master production schedule (MPS) with a 12-18-month planning horizon into the ERP system for MRP generation.
- Incorporate all elements of supply into SIOP supply planning process to ensure capacity and resources are available to meet demand requirements.
- Creates and maintains MPS horizons in line with manufacturing strategy and capability.
- Conducts scenario planning in line with customer demand, and value stream cash and delivery objectives.
- Facilitate long term capacity assessment (RCCP) and development of countermeasure/action plans.
- Conducts a demonstrated lead-time analysis and measures gap to published lead times. Drives corrective action plan and reviews and updates published lead-times.
- Serve as a factory subject matter expert (SME) for ERP production planning and scheduling modules. Identification and resolution of Constraints - Capacity, Resource & Material.
- Maintain data integrity of ERP planning parameters. Parameters such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order fill data for all master scheduled items.
- Drives Finished Goods stocking policy in line with value stream leadership.
- Monitor and drive resolution of MRP processing errors.
- Supports customer service with exception request analysis and expediting resolution.
- Timely management of exception messages generated by the ERP system.
- Create and publish daily/weekly/monthly factory schedule adherence, capacity, and inventory reports.
- Data analysis and support of key performance indicators such as: delivery performance, backlog, performance to master schedule and inventory turns.
- Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous process improvement, strives to improve production line efficiency, likely to challenge processes where favorable alternatives may be available.
- Provide training on master production scheduling procedures and processes. This role will lead the establishment and execution of the global SIOP processes for the entire operating unit.
- Execute all facets of the SIOP process to provide an optimum customer service level and working capital performance as defined by the organization's business operating plans and strategic objectives.
- Partner with the marketing and sales, to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast (mid and long term); ensure gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate to be reviewed at the SIOP process meetings and establish company's Supply plan.
- Lead the SIOP management reviews, prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision making on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.
- Create the SIOP minutes, communicate key conclusion to stakeholders and perform follow up of the actions.
- Support and prepare for business reviews, customer reviews, and other reviews as required
- Lead corporate initiatives aimed at improving current business processes.

Requirements:
- Education:
- University Degree preferred and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- CPIM Certification (or ability and willingness to obtain)
- Experience:
- Background in Master/Production Scheduling, including, but not limited to, developing, implementing and managing MPS in complex or multi-line environments; experience with capacity planning (labor, machines, suppliers) and constraint management in a repair and/or manufacturing environment.
- Involvement in SIOP/S&OP processes with a focus on supply planning.
- Experience with an ERP system.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and schedule execution.
- Prior experience with Inventory Control.
- Prior experience in implementing lean methodologies.
