We are actively seeking a talented Business Intelligence and Visualization Engineer to join our Workforce Benefits team in Newport Beach, CA. This position requires onsite presence and offers the chance to be part of a dynamic, close-knit team within the Workforce Benefits division.

As a Business Intelligence and Visualization Engineer you'll move Pacific Life, and your career forward by playing a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success of visualization efforts. You will fill a new role that sits on a small nimble Analytics and Reporting team within the Workforce Benefits division. As we continue to grow, we recognize the power of data in driving our decisions and ensuring our success. We are looking for an innovative and experienced Business Intelligence and Visualization Engineer to elevate our data-driven decision-making capabilities.

This role requires a mix of technical, analytical, and business acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The Business Intelligence and Visualization Engineer ensures that we remain agile and develop robust reporting mechanisms to present data in a clear, actionable format to stakeholders across departments.

How you'll help us move forward:

  • Business Intelligence and Data Visualization : Craft and refine Business Intelligence visualizations include dashboards that display complex data streams in comprehensible visual formats. Regularly update and adapt reports in line with changing business needs and objectives. You will transform data into key insights.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Engage regularly with department leads to ascertaining their requirements. Conduct workshops and feedback sessions to refine BI offerings.

  • Data Integrity Assurance : Establish protocols to ensure report accuracy and consistency. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or anomalies in datasets

  • Performance & Scalability : Ensure rapid dashboard responsiveness and efficient report generation. Strategize on BI infrastructure scalability to support growing datasets.

The experience you bring:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience; Workforce Benefits and/or Insurance benefits required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or visualization engineering, with a strong proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI with prototyping in tools including Figma.

  • Advanced proficiency with SQL, experience with Snowflake is a definite plus

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$148,230.00 - $181,170.00
