How does this role contribute to our collective success?

As a senior team member within the North American Programs actuarial team, this role supports portfolio strategy through technical pricing analysis, collaboration across functions, and delivery of insights that inform underwriting and financial planning decisions. The role is key to maintaining analytical rigor and supporting business outcomes through actuarial expertise.

What will you do in this role?

  • Lead actuarial analyses to support pricing strategy, rate monitoring, and product performance evaluation.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of pricing models and methodologies.
  • Support quarterly reporting and financial planning processes, including selection of loss ratios based on business strategy, market conditions, and reinsurance structures.
  • Collaborate with Reserving, Risk Management, Finance, Claims, and Data & Analytics teams to ensure alignment of assumptions and insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of state rate filings for North American Programs and other admitted products.
  • Provide actuarial input on treaty placements and reinsurance impact in partnership with Ceded Re.
  • Present findings and recommendations to underwriting and divisional leadership, translating technical results into actionable business insights.
  • Monitor execution of underwriting actions and assess their impact on portfolio performance.
  • Maintain feedback loops between pricing, reserving, capital modeling, and business planning processes.
  • May mentor junior actuarial staff and contribute to team development through knowledge sharing.

About You:

What you need to have:

  • Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS), or equivalent actuarial designation.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing, reserving, or related actuarial functions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships across functions.

What we prefer you to have:

* Experience with MGA business.
* Experience with Admitted filings.
* Experience with new opportunity due diligence
* Experience building pricing models.

Role Factors:

* Be in the office 3 days per week.
* Occasional travel for business.

What we offer:

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $170,000 to $195,000 (NY). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate performance and your individual performance.
