We are seeking a Machine Operator II on 1st Shift (7:30A-3:30P M-F)!
Job Summary
This role is responsible to set up and ensure continuous operation of multi-cut slitting machines, metal manufacturing machines or semi-automated and automated marker manufacturing equipment.
Essential Job Functions
- Set up and independently operate multi-cut slitting machines with close tolerance specifications for finished products, metal manufacturing machines, and semi-automated or automated marker manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain continuous machine operation, performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs; contact supervision when necessary.
- Use prints and work instructions to perform machine setup and operate equipment within established quality standards.
- Review job tickets and verify that specified materials are available and correctly used; monitor and maintain inventory levels.
- Use required measuring instruments, including scales, micro scales, calipers, and densitometers.
- Perform additional tasks related to manufacturing, including packaging, assembly, and finishing operations.
- Ensure compliance with company safety rules and policies, including OSHA and ISO requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments as needed, including maintenance, warehouse, and quality.
- Complete required paperwork and quality sign-offs accurately.
- Inspect finished products for imperfections or irregularities, making necessary adjustments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- GED or High School diploma preferred.
- Minimum1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic reading, math, and direction following skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to read and comprehend directions in English
