The Opportunity

As a member of the Roche Diagnostics Global Partnering organization, you will report to the Head of Alliance Management and play a critical role in the effective management and delivery of a number of Roche Diagnostics strategic alliances and third-party digital partnerships.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of alliances, ensuring their goals are met through strong collaboration, coordination, and risk management. Your role will involve working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, finance, and business teams, to achieve a win-win for all parties.

The key responsibilities could include, but not limited to:

  • Lead a portfolio of alliances, including broad strategic partnerships and third-party digital partnerships

  • Effectively monitor and deliver on alliance goals utilizing strong collaboration, coordination, opportunity/risk management, and communication skills.

  • You will work cross-functionally with external partner stakeholders and multiple internal stakeholders (e.g, legal, finance, contracting, quality, regulatory, procurement, business teams, country affiliates) in support of delivering a win-win for our alliance & business objectives.

  • Represent internally & externally, a growing team of partnering professionals dedicated to creating long-term value & growth through external innovation

  • Support the development, implementation, and sharing of team capabilities, best practices & processes

Who you are

  • Strong understanding of digital pathology and/or genomics and their applications to R&D and clinical care

  • Foster positive partnerships using effective influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve alignment.

  • Strong executive presence and can communicate complex concepts concisely to senior and executive levels of management.

  • Growth mindset and can think creatively to balance both near and long-term strategy.

  • Solid understanding of financial analysis and how to interpret contractual language

  • Lead objectively and fairly through change, while fostering consensus with open communication.

*Two possible levels based on experience

Director, Alliance & Ecosystem Management (SE7 Level)

  • You have at least five years of alliance management or equivalent experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or health tech, with an advanced degree in a relevant discipline.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $128,000 - $182,900

Director, Alliance & Ecosystem Management I (SE8 Level)

  • You have at least seven years of alliance management or equivalent experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or health tech, with an advanced degree in a relevant discipline.

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of California is $153,600- $285,200

Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.

Location: Must work onsite at our Roche location in Pleasanton, California.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
