Position Title: Navy Qualified Validator

Location: Philadelphia, PA/Hybrid (89% on-site / 11% Remote)

Clearance: ****This position requires an Active Secret Clearance****

Division: Command Cyber Solutions

**This position is contingent upon contract award

Position Summary

Command Cyber Solutions, LLC is seeking a Navy Qualified Validator who will be responsible for reviewing and implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle documentation, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems, networks, and information. This position involves conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, ensuring proper accreditation procedures are followed, and documenting any non-compliance issues

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent RMF package validation and compliance assessments.

  • Review, validate, and document security controls against NIST 800-53, Navy SCA business rules, and applicable STIGs/SRGs.

  • Validate and track vulnerabilities in eMASS POA&Ms, ensuring proper remediation and compliance.

  • Develop and deliver Security Assessment Plans (SAPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and executive summaries per NAVSEA SOPs and CDRLs (e.g., A001, A006).

  • Act as a trusted, independent advisor to the Security Control Assessor (SCA).

  • Provide risk assessment consultations and compliance reports to Program Managers, ISSMs, ISSEs, and ISSOs.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, communications systems management, or an equivalent science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) degree from an accredited college or university

Certification Required:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

  • Current Navy Qualified Validator Certificate

  • IAT-II Certification - One required:

    • CCNA-Security

    • CySA+

    • GICSP

    • GSEC

    • Sec+ CE

    • CND

    • SSCP

Experience Required:

  • Ten (10) years' practical experience in a cybersecurity or A&A related field. Experience should include:

  • Implementing and/or reviewing RMF lifecycle documentation

  • Ensuring/validating the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and information

  • Conducting risk and vulnerability reviews and assessments to ensure accreditation procedures were followed, and documenting non-compliance.

  • Prior experience supporting Navy programs

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge:

  • Expert knowledge of DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and Navy cybersecurity compliance processes.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This position is performed in a professional environment, remote/home office setting, or on-site government facility, as required by the contract.

  • Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, during normally scheduled business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work required to meet critical deadlines.

  • Work involves extensive computer and secure network use, including periods of prolonged sitting, data entry, and screen time.

  • The role requires working independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating virtually or in person with CCS teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.

  • Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings, training, or project-related activities.
