Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Badge Patrol in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order at a chemical or petrochemical location. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to support a secure environment. You will provide exceptional customer service while remaining visible and approachable. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, hazards, or security-related incidents in the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives as needed regarding security-related matters.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
