What this job involves - The Living Environments Specialist at JLL is responsible for creating and maintaining exceptional workplace experiences for the Google Bay Area account. This role requires data driven insight, strong creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders. The Living Environments Specialist will play a critical role in designing and delivering innovative workplace solutions that support employee well-being, productivity, and engagement.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage third party vendors to ensure excellent service delivery and operational rigor by attending weekly property walks, conducting vendor performance and quality reviews, upholding KPIs for categories such as, but not limited to: Tree care, landscaping, and interior plants.

  • Track work order life cycle on internal work order tracking software (Corrigo)

  • Develop and manage budgets for living environment initiatives, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Collaborate and foster positive working relationships with stakeholders, ecologists, facilities teams, and interior designers, to ensure living environments meet client expectations and standards.

  • Plan and execute interior and exterior living environments related projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align living environment initiatives with organizational goals and strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in workplace design and employee well-being.

  • Manage accuracy and integrity of living environment data, ensuring appropriate documentation and controls are in place.

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Corrigo work order tracking software or other similar work order management system.

  • Knowledge of facility management IFM good practices and industry standards.

  • Strong creative thinking and design skills, with the ability to develop innovative exterior and interior workplace solutions.

  • Experience in sustainability outreach and environmental education.

  • Native plant propagation and species identification

  • Biophilic design principles

  • ISA, TRAQ, QAL, CPLD, CIT, LIC, LEED AP, PMP, FMP - Certificates of consideration

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, horticulture, environmental studies, facility management, sustainability, or 6+ years minimum job related work experience.

  • Strong knowledge base in horticulture/aboriculture. Including, plant identification, landscape maintenance strategies, invasive weed control, irrigation management, tree pruning, integrated pest management, and plant health care.

  • Strong spreadsheet skills. Including basic formulas used for accounting and budgeting. Ability to create budget trackers and keep all critical spreadsheets updated as needed. Create budgets and track spend for monthly variance reporting and mid month accruals.

  • Strong vendor management and communication skills. Including ability to host and lead business critical meetings, build strong working partnerships with key third party vendors, and hold third party vendors partners accountable to the scope of work.

  • Proficiency in Google suite, work order management, billing cycles, and AI tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire employees at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Estimated compensation for this position:

143,600.00 - 188,720.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
