Job Summary

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose malfunctions. Adjusts, cleans and lubricates parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Requisitions replacement parts and equipment. Provides guidance and training to less experienced team members.


Essential Duties

  • Proactively assists in task development, safety planning, and execution. Implements comprehensive safety and quality assurance measures, conducting regular walks and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Understands specific assembly requirements and how to adjust those assemblies as dictated on a project by project basis per involved system. Performs lay- out, assembly, and installation of process piping systems per established parameters, scope and procedure.
  • Performs specific testing requirements as dictated on a project by project basis per involved system.
  • Acquaints oneself with project-specific practices such as 6S, prohibited behaviors, and rules of engagement to ensure adherence to project requirements.
  • Responsible for maintenance, loss, or proper application (e.g., tools & equipment, etc.). Provides guidance and training to less experienced team members.
  • Complies with all disposal, handling, and disposition functions as apparent for materials both consumed and not consumed on the project.]
  • Ensures all reliability risks are identified and measures are in place to minimize potential customer impact.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn specific protocols/specifications for installation or modification to Ultra high purity (UHP) systems such as: gas, chemical and specialized water.
  • Shows proficiency in system layout and ISO drawings, orbital welding and tube bending.
  • Understands the materials required to complete the project regarding material types, classifications, and part number configurations.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or GED (or equivalent)

Technical Training preferred.

2-5 years

Ability to handle tools and equipment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective performance in this role.
