About the Role

We're looking for a personable and hands-on IT Systems Specialist to support our team at the Austin headquarters on South Congress Ave.

As the primary onsite IT representative, you'll provide direct technology support to our local staff and executives, ensuring a seamless and professional IT experience. You'll work closely with our remote IT team to manage daily operations, troubleshoot systems and network issues, and maintain reliable, secure technology across the office.

This is a great opportunity for an early- to mid-career IT professional who enjoys working face-to-face with users, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and wants to grow their technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

End-User & Hardware Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all onsite IT support needs.

  • Provide Tier 1/2 support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and conference room systems.

  • Assist with device setup, imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.

  • Maintain printers, video conferencing systems, and other office IT equipment.

Network & Systems Support

  • Support and monitor local network connectivity (switches, Wi-Fi access points, firewalls).

  • Collaborate with remote IT engineers to troubleshoot and maintain system performance.

  • Assist with VPN, VLAN, and other connectivity issues as needed.

Security & Access Control

  • Help administer user access, identity management, and badge systems.

  • Perform basic patching, updates, and system maintenance in coordination with IT leadership.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work directly with Austin-based employees and executives to resolve issues quickly and professionally.

  • Communicate clearly with non-technical users while maintaining a high level of customer service.

  • Act as the local liaison between staff and the broader IT organization.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain local IT documentation and asset tracking.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge base articles and support guides.

  • Identify opportunities to improve local IT efficiency and user experience.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 2-4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or helpdesk roles.

  • Working knowledge of network fundamentals (Wi-Fi, firewalls, switching, VPN).

  • Experience with Windows and/or macOS environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a professional, customer-focused demeanor.

Preferred:

  • Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi (e.g., Meraki, Cisco, or Aruba).

  • Familiarity with cloud tools (Microsoft 365, Azure, or Google Workspace).

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

Who You Are

  • A confident communicator who enjoys face-to-face interaction and problem-solving.

  • Professional and poised, comfortable supporting executives and senior staff.

  • Resourceful, dependable, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

  • A collaborative team player with a genuine customer service mindset.
