The Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI) is a part of UCI Health and the Susan & Henry College of Health Sciences. The Samueli Institute works to transform healthcare through the practice of integrative health by conducting rigorous research, promoting evidence-informed treatment modalities, educating the public on well-being practices, providing individualized, patient-centered clinical care, and providing services to the community that focus on obtaining optimal health.


Your Role on the Team

The Program Coordinator will support various education activities and programs at the UCI Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, including the Academic Integrative Medicine (AIM) Health and Wellness Coaching certification program. The program coordinator will oversee day-to-day coordination of the programs, which consists of multiple cohorts throughout the year. The coordinator will ensure smooth program delivery and a high-quality learning experience. Responsibilities include scheduling, communication with faculty and students, and providing logistical support for live and recorded events and lectures, monitoring the established program budgets, and more. The coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for students, addressing questions, tracking progress, and fostering engagement throughout the program. This position will also support curriculum implementation by assisting with course materials, online platforms, and program assessments. The coordinator ensures that program activities reflect the Samueli Institute's commitment to academic rigor, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity. The coordinator will also collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance the programs reach and impact. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and cultural awareness are essential to success.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Thorough knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Solid knowledge of health professions education program requirements. Thorough knowledge of health professions education industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement processes and systems. Thorough knowledge of the administrative and operational implications in a program.
  • Demonstrated experience and documented excellence in oral and written communications skills; includes active listening and critical thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others. Ability to work productively with anyone regardless of background. Empathetic and aware of impact on others. Strong problem solving skills to assist learners and resolve issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner, and to manage short and competing deadlines.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with maintaining compliance with the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching as well as CME accreditation process(es).
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge of educational software and platforms. Demonstrated ability to analyze and seek solutions to enhance the user experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of data management, documentation methods used in investigating and presenting findings about the program. Skills include statistical analysis of data across databases and systems.
  • Knowledge or experience with integrative health practices.

Special Conditions:

  • May occasionally require travel and/or work on the weekends
