We are looking for a Fabrication Technician to join Temperature+ System Products, USA in Greenwood, Indiana to work with a dynamic team and deliver world-class temperature products. Endress+Hauser Temperature+System Products is one of the leading global suppliers of temperature measurement, temperature engineered solutions and system products.

What is the role about?

This role is responsible for day-to-day operations in the production of high-quality temperature sensitive inserts. Implements and executes operator preventative maintenance tasks to support machines. Completes production plan as provided by the Supply Chain team to ensure on-time delivery. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Fabricate sub-components to create sensor technologies as needed using various tools and machines

  • Prepare production orders by picking components according to bill of material, cutting raw materials to length as specified

  • Assemble mechanical and electronic devices to form complete thermometers or subassembly components, including programming transmitters and using laser

  • Hand soldering and brazing of electronic components

  • Small-scale manual TIG welding

  • Buffing/sanding of completed temperature sensors

  • Perform visual inspection and functional testing

  • Maintain accurate inventory and notify logistics of adjustments or scrap

  • Assist with cross training employees on production processes

  • Utilize computer applications to perform automated testing of devices and close production orders upon completion

  • Use production and software systems to look up or enter information that supports the area

  • All other duties as assigned

What do we expect from you?

  • Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and operate machines

  • Able to follow written and verbal directions

  • Can read and understand basic drawings, diagrams, and production orders

  • Must be flexible and willing to learn different positions

  • TIG welding experience preferred

  • Soldering and/or Brazing experience preferred

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years related fabrication experience or equivalent professional training.

  • Must be detail oriented
