Job Title: Configuration Technician Position Overview We're seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Technician to join our team in an entry-level capacity. This role involves preparing IT equipment for deployment by performing pre-configuration tasks, validating functionality, and ensuring quality standards are met prior to shipment. It's a hands-on opportunity ideal for individuals looking to grow within the IT industry.
Key Responsibilities * Follow written instructions to provision and configure IT devices for deployment. * Perform basic kitting and packaging of equipment. * Unbox, re-box, and prepare devices for shipping. * Clean, test, and inspect hardware to ensure proper functionality. * Escalate technical issues to supervisors as needed. * Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions. * Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately. * Perform other duties as assigned. Desired Outcomes * Consistently adhere to documented procedures to maintain high-quality standards. * Complete work in a timely and cost-effective manner to support customer satisfaction. Required Skills and Attributes * Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple low-complexity tasks simultaneously. * Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset. * Willingness to learn foundational IT concepts. * High attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED required. * Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or training preferred. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for insurance purposes). * Technical certifications are a plus but not required; willingness to pursue certifications is expected. Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 60 lbs. * Frequent standing, bending, and handling of IT hardware. * Occasional use of basic tools and cleaning materials. * Comfortable working with computers and reading technical documentation. Technical Skills * Basic understanding of Windows operating systems. * Familiarity with hardware peripherals (e.g., monitors, keyboards, mice). * Ability to follow scripts and document work accurately. * Foundational troubleshooting and customer service skills. Experience Level * Entry-Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
