Position: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Design & Construction Liaison (Secondment)
Location: Full-time position, Hybrid (Remote and Downtown Seattle, WA)
Shift: 8am - 5pm

We're hiring an EHS specialist to effectively review, integrate and implement specific health and safety metrics into the design, construction, and improvement of research and development spaces. The candidate will assist with developing, implement and enhancing EHS programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for our client. You'll support, develop, communicate safety criteria, assist with training, maintain safety standards, and proactively identify areas of improvement to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Partner with Design & Construction teams to evaluate and mitigate potential hazards in new facility projects and terminal improvements.
  • Review construction requests with stakeholders to identify operational risks and safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with user groups to ensure EHS compliance in construction support activities.
  • Coordinate with Labs EHS team to integrate new labs and high-hazard operations into tracking/audit systems.
  • Develop and implement programs to support Design & Construction staff with interpreting and maintaining EHS requirements.
  • Provide client-specific deliverables, such as project safety reviews, risk assessments, EHS compliance documentation, training and guidance materials, onboarding protocols and auditing program integration.
  • This role requires strong technical knowledge of EHS requirements and excellent collaboration skills to ensure safety is built into facility projects from conception through completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into daily operations and drive best practices.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years' experience in EHS support, preferably in the aerospace sector.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • Understanding blueprints, technical drawings, architectural plans and schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and personnel issues.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certification such as ASP, CSP, NEBOSH, CIH, or CHMM.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in emergency response and workers compensation case management.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (CAA, RCRA, CWA).
  • Experience with 5S programs and developing safety training materials.
