Overview The Senior Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching refined oil and propane to common carriers, and for performing efficient accounting, record keeping, customer service, and pricing analysis for wholesale sales and service. - Process orders for fuel deliveries from field personnel either by phone, fax or email.
- Set up fuel deliveries using information provided by tank monitors.
- Review current market conditions, fuel cost, and freight expense to insure profitability on each load and work with supply department on terminal and product availability and low-cost solutions.
- Make changes to purchase orders as needed from field personnel and auditing department.
- Process and correct freight invoices.
- Determine which carrier to hire for load delivery based on routing options.
- Maintain customer daily pricing.
- Ensure that proper new customer documentation is completed, including new account forms and credit applications.
- Enter sales orders into E1 and ensure timely and accurate invoicing of sales orders.
- Gather, analyze, and summarize data for management review.
- Receive Bill of Lading information.
- Reconcile customer accounts.
- Troubleshoot carrier errors and provide solutions.
- Help manage positive customer relationships and maintain service levels.
- Work closely with area CSR's, Plant Managers, District Managers, and Business Development Representatives to ensure any issues are communicated quickly to the responsible parties.
- Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers.
- Answer multi line telephone in courteous manner.
- Provide support to the team by assisting others as required to meet team deadlines.
- Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of comparable experience
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Knowledge of good workflow principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule on holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
