        | Position Type |  | Full Time |  |  |  | Description Scope of Work: A Waukesha Pearce Industries (WPI) Generator Tech Class B is expected to execute their knowledge of generators and engines to complete PM maintenance and minor repairs on standby generators. Be able to read wiring schematics and learn how to perform load bank testing. Primary Job Responsibilities: 
 
 
 
 
     
 Performs maintenance and repairs on generators and associated controlsCompletes service reports dailyContinue to expand knowledge of the generators and controls sold and serviced by WPIAttends service schools and training programs offered by WPIPerform weekly truck inspections as requiredFill out required JSA form on every jobPerform other duties as assigned by manager
 
 
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 
 
 
     
 Must have a minimum of 1 year's previous experienceG.E.D. or High School DiplomaMust be able to work and learn from othersMust have a mechanical and/or electrical aptitudeMust have an aptitude to learn to read simple wiring schematics and perform basic troubleshooting and repairsMust be able to supply your own toolsTrade school or prior generator background preferred
 
 
 Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)  
 
 
     
 Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI requirementsMust be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements as outlined by WPIMust be able to complete PM maintenance on standby generatorsMust be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred. (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist several times dailyMust have the ability to work flexible hours and daysMust be dependable and able to work independentlyMust maintain a professional appearanceMust maintain good client relationsMust promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environmentMust maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in good working order
 
 
 Working Conditions and Physical Demands: 
 
     
 Typical hours of work Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Overtime and weekend hours as necessaryOutside workMust be available for after hour callouts Will be added to the after hour on-call list
