Supervisor, Commerical Billing & Collections

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor, Commercial Billing and Collections to lead our commercial billing team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and driving continuous improvement across billing processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for optimizing revenue cycle performance.

What's Available:

• 1.0 FTE

• Schedule: Monday-Friday Days

• Location: Hybrid eligible position, would need to be within a close driving distance to the La Crosse, WI area

What You'll Do:

• Lead and support a team of about 30-35 financial counselors and Accounts Receivable Representatives

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, financial assistance programs, and healthcare laws to provide accurate advice to patients

• Collaborates with Revenue Cycle, ITDS and Clinical Operations to identify process errors and design-improved processes.

• Develop training programs and improve workflows

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations

What You'll Need:

• Education: High school diploma required; associate degree preferred

• Licensure & Certifications: Certified Professional Biller (CPB) Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), desired

• 3-4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle with demonstration of increasing responsibility.
