Job Description

The Department of Management in the Trulaske College of Business at University of Missouri (MU) invites applicants with excellent teaching credentials in the areas of Analytics, Operations, and/or Supply Chain Management (SCM) to join our team for a non-tenure track (NTT), full-time teaching position. The person selected must be available to start teaching undergraduate and/or master's level courses no later than August 2026. We will also consider applicants available for a January 2026 or June 2026 start date. Overall teaching load will be equivalent to twelve credit hours per semester. This is not a remote-work position, however, some online courses may be scheduled.

The successful candidate will join our team and teach courses in the areas of Analytics, Operations, and/or Supply Chain Management each semester, in a large or small section format, and may include coordinating Teaching Assistants (TAs) as needed. The successful candidate is expected to assume active service roles related to undergraduate and MBA curriculum development and academic program performance at department and college levels.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant discipline, or a Masters Degree and work experience of at least five years in the related field or function. Highest degree earned from an AACSB- accredited business school or other closely-related program (e.g., Industrial Engineering). Prior industry and professional knowledge/experience in the areas of Analytics, Operations and/or SCM; a record or demonstrable evidence of excellence in teaching; industry experience; evidence of collaborative team participation. Relevant industry or professional certifications.

Candidates will be evaluated on Key skills sought including: ability to engage students in both large and small section formats and in both face-to-face and 100% online formats; effective use of a variety of assessment methods; currency in analytics, operations management, and/or supply chain management; effective training of and coordination with TAs; familiarity with learning management systems for grade management and reporting; and collegiality in service roles involving curriculum design and delivery. For full consideration applications should be completed by Oct. 15, but will be accepted until the position has been filled. The person selected must be available to start teaching undergraduate and/or Master's level courses no later than August 2026. Screening will begin two weeks after posting of the position and zoom interviews will be conducted with finalists.
