Join Our Team as a Regional Maintenance Director!

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a vibrant environment and enjoys making a difference every day? We're looking for a Regional Maintenance Director to bring energy, expertise, and collaboration to our Brightview communities across Baltimore County and Howard County, Maryland.

In this role, you'll be the go-to resource for all things maintenance-supporting our Executive Directors, Maintenance Directors, and Regional Director of Operations to keep our communities running smoothly, safely, and beautifully. You'll spend your time traveling between communities, guiding maintenance teams, ensuring compliance, and lending a problem-solving hand wherever it's needed.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.
  • Assist the Brightview Director of Capital improvements by managing assigned renovation plans.
  • Act as a member on the Quality Assurance team; provide feedback to the Operations Specialist on audits of physical plants and maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and housekeeping operations of the communities to ensure that the physical plant and grounds are properly maintained in a clean, orderly, safe, and cost effective manner and in compliance with applicable regulations; escalate issues to community and/or regional management as appropriate.
  • Make recommendations and participate in the planning and budgeting of capital projects; develop, transmit, and review proposals for capital purchases and/or projects and support community leadership in the planning and purchasing of equipment and supplies.
  • Monitor tracking and documentation of preventive maintenance and resident work order requests to ensure that work is performed timely and to the highest quality standards.
  • Train new Maintenance Directors and certify their proficiency; train existing Maintenance Directors in new policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Directors to ensure that all Brightview policies and procedures are up to date and effective.
  • Coach and mentor Maintenance Directors across the portfolio and foster the exchange of best practices; administer Brightview's Maintenance Best Practice program.
  • Assist in the development and revision of BVSL policies and procedures related to Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Emergency Preparedness.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of Maintenance Directors at community sites.
  • Assist in the planning and purchasing of equipment and supplies for new Brightview communities.
  • Contribute feedback on maintenance systems, capital improvements required, and preventive maintenance systems effectiveness to Regional Director and Director of Capital Improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.

Compensation Disclosure

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • Ten or more year's progressive experience in building maintenance, skilled in HVAC, electrical and plumbing with multiple years in a supervisory capacity. A thorough understanding of emergency preparedness plan requirements for each of the states in the region which BVSL operates.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, equipment repair, and painting, with the ability to educate and train others in these skills.
  • Computer proficiency with a basic command of MS Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources and to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer orientation to older adults and BVSL Associates.
  • Valid and appropriate driver's license with driving record in good standing.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Travel Commitment

    Expected to Travel to communities within the assigned Region on a daily basis with potential for extended travel to other communities within the Brightview Portfolio.
