Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Contracting Support Specialist supporting the Battle Management Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (BMC3I) System Delta (SYD 85) and Space Operations Command (SpOC) Mission Delta 2 (MD 2) in Colorado Springs, CO. SYD 85 supports acquisition and MD 2 supports sustainment for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, executing system acquisition, modernization, and sustainment for ground- and space-based SDA sensors and command and control (C2) systems. Activities include acquisition program management, system and subsystem engineering, maintenance and supply support, and fielding. This is a full-time position located at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs, CO with the opportunity to tele-work 2-3 days per week at the discretion of the Government. Responsibilities An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government Program Office. As an SDA Contracting Support Specialist, you will analyze requirements, develop procurement strategies, develop procurement documents, prepare negotiated positions, and administer contracts, supporting the formulation and maintenance of effective contractual relationships between the company or client and other parties. The work requires knowledge of acquisition principles, policies, procedures, negotiation strategies, reform initiatives, regulatory requirements, contracting methods, and contract types. This position provides direct Contracting Support to the Government. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Government Contract, Legal, and Program teams; interact frequently with senior leadership; work as a team to develop and execute contract modifications
Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Qualifications Clearance: Active Secret clearance, eligible for Top Secret/SCI clearance Education: B.A. or B.S. in business or related field Years of Experience: 5 years DoD, MDA, or Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition experience as a team member in a DoD, MDA, or IC Contract Office; 2 or more years administering contract data in ConWrite and/or CONIT Certifications: Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Level 2 Contracting certification or equivalent Other:
Preferred Qualifications Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance, agreeable to polygraph Education: M.A. or M.S. in business or related field Years of Experience: 8 years DoD Acquisition experience supporting similar requirements in Air Force Space Command or Air Force Material Command Contract Office; 5 or more years of experience as a DoD Contract Specialist; 5 or more years of experience administering contract data in ConWrite and/or CONIT Certifications: Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Level 2 Contracting certification or equivalent Other:
