They also function as a strategic consultant to departments to enhance safety and advance organizational capabilities through Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques. Recognizes and responses to workplace violence and performs physical (Facility) security assessments. Working Conditions This position's work environment will include working in an armed capacity, including wearing a gun belt, body armor, or other Department-required or issued equipment as authorized. The physical environment includes running for short periods, walking continuously for one hour, climbing stairs, operating vehicles, operating mechanical equipment, remaining standing for a period of up to three hours, sitting for extended periods, utilizing Department-issued or approved lethal or non-lethal weaponry (including the physical restraint of unauthorized or threatening persons). May have to lift or carry up to 50lbs. This position may require working evenings and weekends for executive protection assignments and rotational assignments, which may include overtime.
