Benefits eligibility may vary depending on position. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Provides customer service, and administrative assistance to the Controller and other personnel. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides courteous, timely service to internal and external customers via phone and in person.
- Pays close attention to detail, prioritizes work daily, and displays organization skills to keep up with continuously changing demands.
- Coordinates, schedules, and prepares for meetings, as requested.
- Receives and records paid on accounts and prepares and balances daily deposits to the sales report. Ensures daily credit of deposits to the company's bank account.
- Orders, maintains and reconciles inventory by reviewing shipping documents and bills of lading to verify products received/returned and transferred in/out and enter product movement.
- Assist in monthly customer statement distribution and any other mailings.
- Supports Credit Manager with various clerical tasks such as preparing notification letters to customers, posting transactions to customer accounts, reconciling customer accounts, etc.
- Promotes and aids customer participation in company programs, including MyFS, online bill payment, and FS AgriFinance.
- Processes daily invoices from Growmark and intercompany transfers.
- Maintains updated product pricing in Agvance system.
- Receives and distributes USPS mail and intercompany courier mail.
- Records monthly transactions and processes small bank reconciliations.
- Reconciles staff credit card expenses monthly.
- Orders and tracks employee uniform allowance.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assists department managers and sales staff with marketing activities.
- Annual customer relations activities, including Farm Bureau list and unclaimed property filing.
- Occasionally may be asked to drive and run local errands as requested.
- Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent and related experience to demonstrate:
- High degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong mathematical skills, computer proficiency, and attention to detail.
