Laboratory testing is essential to understanding how the human body functions. It provides critical data that enables physicians to diagnose conditions accurately, manage treatment plans, and monitor patient recovery. This role plays a key part in supporting the administrative operations of the pathology department across our entire health system, ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality service delivery. We're seeking a candidate with deep knowledge of laboratory workflows and operations, paired with strong analytical skills to assess processes and set strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, capable of driving continuous improvement and guiding teams through change to maintain optimal lab performance. The anticipated start date for this position is January 2026. Scope of work Responsible for all daily operations and services of administrative areas including equipment, policies/procedures, quality, safety, personnel, and financial activities in accordance with all regulatory/accrediting agencies' requirements, and corporate/laboratory standards of operations. Effective January 1, 2026, following the execution of a new agreement between Corewell Health and Quest Diagnostics, this position will transition employment to Quest Diagnostics. While this role will be integral to Corewell Health laboratory operations, employment will be with Quest Diagnostics effective January 1, 2026, contingent upon successful completion of Quest Diagnostics' pre-employment requirements.
