RENK America is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Communications Intern to join our team from May 2026 - August 2026. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing, communications and event support within the defense industry. The intern will assist with content creation, social media management, internal communications, event coordination, and branding initiatives that strengthen RENK America's presence with both internal and external audiences.
Project: RENK America's Marketing and Communications Intern will play a key role in preparations for the 2026 NDIA GVSETS event. They will gain hands-on experience in event marketing, including social media content creation, booth design coordination, event planning, and preparation of marketing materials. The Intern will work closely with the marketing team to ensure a strong and professional presence at the show while gaining valuable skills in project management and defense industry communications. Essential Functions: Provide support for trade shows, events, and community outreach activities (GVSETS project). Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, print, and event platforms. Assist in drafting, editing, and publishing content for newsletters, press releases, and social media. Manage and monitor social media channels, track engagement, and suggest content improvements. Help design and update marketing collateral, presentations, and other promotional materials. Assist with internal communications to ensure employees are informed and engaged. Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and best practices to support campaign strategy. Maintain organization of marketing files, media libraries, and communication resources. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to ensure alignment of messaging and branding. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field. 3.0+ GPA and Jr. or Sr. status Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) a plus. Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook) and content scheduling tools. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Creative thinker with strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed. Preferred Additional Skills: Prior marketing, communications, or event support experience (academic or internship) preferred but not required. |
