Job Description:
Specific duties for the Supply Chain intern include but are not limited to: Drive development of Procurement standard work for supporting Engineering Development programs. In addition to standard work, this project will include process flow mapping, continuous improvement activity, training documentation, and training implementation. Overall goal of project is to document standard work, educate teams, streamline processes, and find areas of potential automation/process improvement. In addition to this main project: Update Supplier Commodity Central Database with latest information Learn and understand by shadowing personnel in all areas of Procurement; Buying, Sourcing, Planning, Inventory Control Essential Functions: Team Process Flow mapping facilitation PowerPoint/Word standard work and training documentation Team Continuous process improvement facilitation Think outside of normal processes to help team's function better Qualifications: Enrolled in an acredited Supply Chain or Procurement program with a Jr. or Sr. standing with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA Strong in Excel, Word, Powerpoint Ability to qualify for a security clearance which typically means U.S. Citizenship and a clean background Ability to move freely in a manufacturing setting |
