Civil Staff Engineer (EIT)


McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Civil Staff Engineer (EIT) to join our team. This role encompasses general civil engineering and design development for all types of McMillen projects, including dams, fish passage and screening facilities, fish hatcheries, bridges, and other water resource related projects. The Civil Staff Engineer will work at the direction of project engineers and managers applying various design engineering techniques, modeling methods, and construction support to deliver successful fisheries and water resource related projects for federal, local municipalities, and private utility companies.


Responsibilities:



  • Collects data and gathers information or documents.
  • Performs standard computations or analysis.
  • Performs basic design tasks.
  • Prepares drawings and visual aids.
  • Assists on other tasks such as: preparation of permit applications, drawings, and CAD work.
  • Prepares portions of project documents.
  • Edits specifications.
  • Performs research and investigations.
  • Observes construction activities.
  • Performs basic survey work.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT required
  • 0-5 years+ of civil design experience, water resource related experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Skill in reading, interpreting and communicating contract documents, plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to water resource projects
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently
  • Must have a flexible work schedule, be willing to travel up to 20%
  • Must be able to work in a team environment


Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: 70,543 - 88,179 (DOE)
