Overview

Responsible for helping establish and supporting document management system. Creates, formats, edits, organizes, and monitors all company-controlled documentation across all business units. Works to ensure all company required policies, plans manuals, operating procedures, work instructions and any other documentation is maintained and aligned with company standards. Develop processes/procedures for execution of all field activities within Mastec Renewables. Work with site teams, owners, and Operational Excellence Managers (OEMs) to align all development information.
Location: This position can be located at one of our office locations daily: Fargo, ND; Indianapolis, IN; Clinton, IN; or Phoenix, AZ. But our Fargo, ND is preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Effectively communicate MasTec beliefs throughout the organization
  • Promote culture of quality workmanship in the field
  • Promote and communicate company quality policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain a quality management system complaint with regulatory, quality, company, and customer (internal and external) requirements
  • Support effective implementation, communication, training, and overall management of Zavanta Document Control Management System
  • Become a Zavanta Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Develop and update Standard Operating procedures (SOPs), Plans and Policies to maximize safety, quality, performance, and profitability
  • Assist in the development of best practices and standard tools to be used to continuously improve operational efficiency
  • Participate and/or lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts, utilizing methodologies such as lean, six sigma, graphical analysis, and/or similar methodologies to be a driver of change within the organization
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of required field reporting
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and drive closure of accompanying action items
  • Support special projects as required to meet Operational Excellence initiatives
  • May provide front desk support to meet customer requirements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in quality, engineering, business, construction management, or other related field
  • Two to four years of administrative or related experience
  • One year experience in operations, quality, or safety function preferred
  • Bi-lingual language preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Zero Injury principles
  • Apply principles of quality, Lean and Continuous Improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, OEM manuals, quality documents, technical procedures, and associated drawings
  • Write reports, technical specifications, work instructions, procedures, and business correspondence and document quality-related issues and activities
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels within the organization
  • Effectively communicate and develop positive working relationships with the owner, the owner's representative, site personnel, and site supervision to facilitate the development objectives
  • Ability to apply basic statistics
  • Solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Interpret variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to demonstrate drive and self-motivation to be able to work well independently, with minimum supervision, while meeting deadlines, given or self-imposed

Working Environment:

  • When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
