Our Sacramento, CA region international aerospace client (metal machine shop) is looking for multiple machinists and operators to join their organization. This position is a
Lap & Laser Machine Operator (for part marking). This is a direct full time employee position on first shift (7:00am - 4:30pm M-F = 5 hours of OT every week). Full benefits. The hourly rate range is $20 - $31 with a target of $24 - $27.
If the candidate is outside of the region, there is a sign-on bonus of up to $5K to help with relocation. If local, there is a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
The Lap and Laser Operator sets-up and performs necessary lapping on faces of various precision parts using single or double lap machines, materials, and operating Trumpf lasers for part marking. Studies blueprints, work orders, and/or machining instructions to determine product dimensions, diameters, tooling. Observes and adjusts machine operation.
Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Min 2 years of experience with
Laser machines doing part marking (ideally Trumpf laser machines)
Min 2 years of lap ('laser projection' and laser measurement systems) experience with single required (double lap preferred)
- This Includes experience working with hand tools and the ability to read/interpret blueprints, manufacturing outlines
This is an aerospace ITAR facility, U.S. Persons required (e.g., U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder)
