DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, the Clerical Assistant 2 will be responsible for managing the processing and distribution of all incoming and outgoing U.S. Mail, interdepartmental mail, and interagency mail. They will prepare and handle all outgoing mail, including U.S. Mail, Overnight Mail, Certified Mail, and UPS parcels. This role also includes performing messenger duties and operating a forklift, provided proper certification is obtained. You will be responsible for monitoring the mailroom resource mailbox for incoming emails. The Clerical Assistant 2 will need to have a valid license to operate a Commonwealth fleet vehicle, as part of the messenger duties required to pick up and deliver mail and packages in Harrisburg and surrounding locations. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- This particular position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license which is not currently under suspension.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
