DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Revenue Fiscal Analyst 1, your attention to detail skills will be key as you analyze and review various tax returns, including but not limited to Personal Income Tax returns, Pass-Through Entity returns and Sales and Use tax returns, to determine compliance problems or issues, correspond with taxpayers and tax professionals, and make appropriate adjustments to correctly reflect tax liabilities. You will document tax compliance problems or issues by performing analyses outlining the technical tax and accounting requirements for Pennsylvania Personal Income tax, Pass-Through Entity returns, Sales and Use tax and other business taxes. Work includes assisting the supervisor in the selection of casework based on tax compliance issues, available data, and system resources. You will have the opportunity to recommend changes to the entity forms based on their analysis and, in some cases, recommend Department policy positions. You will be expected to ensure compliance with PA Small Games of Chance laws, regulations, and policies and perform other duties as required. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A master's degree in economics, business administration, statistics, mathematics, or computer science; or
- One year of technical experience in fiscal analysis and a bachelor's degree including thirty credits in economics, statistics, mathematics, and/or computer science; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
