Position Summary The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is accepting applications for academic faculty suitable for appointment at the rank of Research Assistant Professor in the Research Track. Assignments will be through the Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH). This position will serve as a trainer on a variety of topics related to workforce development, such as Comprehensive Community Support Services, and child and adolescent behavioral health, participate in the evaluation of federally-funded behavioral health grant initiatives, and support the improvement of behavioral health services by providing direct clinical services at sites, such as rural tribal communities in New Mexico. Duties will include development and delivery of trainings and curricula on behavioral health services; consultation on best practices with behavioral health staff in tribal communities; delivery of evidence-based behavioral health treatment to youth adults and families; and assisting CBH faculty and staff in work with our behavioral health partners across the state. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Doctorate degree, PhD, PsyD, or equivalent in clinical or counseling psychology; * Licensable in New Mexico, by date of hire; * Must be eligible to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience conducting behavioral health services research and evaluations; * Experience providing individual and group psychotherapy; * Experience providing training and consultation to diverse learners in Comprehensive Community Support Services, program evaluation, and evidence-based practices; * Supervision experience with behavioral health trainees; * Experience with consultation and collaboration on multidisciplinary teams, especially with tribal communities. * A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
