In the role of Rail Specialist, we'll count on you to:
Assist the Florida Department of Transportation with Rail Program Services Complete the annual 23 US Code, Section 130 evaluation of the Railway-Highway Crossing Program element of the Highway Safety Improvement Program Report on Crossing Safety Improvement Program evaluation findings to the Federal Highway Administration; highlight innovative processes, program successes and provide justification for increased federal funds allocation Monitor and report state Section 130 funding allocations, district project programming, reserves and job cost overruns programming, recommend process improvement measures Provide diagnostic team leader training, including appropriate crossing safety team members and applicable warning device treatments Assist the Districts as needed Provide project management, administrative, and technical support Effectively communicate with multi-disciplinary project team members and deliver quality work products on time and within budget. Maintain proper project filing and documentation in compliance with HDR standards. Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering, or related discipline preferred Knowledge of FDOT systems preferred 10+ years' experience with rail planning, safety, engineering, and program management
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office product experience
- General background-related experience
