DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Information and Referral (I&R) is the gateway to aging programs and services offered through the Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging. As a specialist with this team, you will answer calls and provide valuable information and resources to seniors, caregivers, family members, and professionals inquiring about the services our team provides. Your work will involve scheduling assessments for seniors who need help in their homes, helping consumers complete applications for various benefits and supportive programs, and working closely with other agencies and service providers. You will also be expected to document all work via computer and stay up-to-date with the variety of community resources available to seniors in our community. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as an Aging Care Manager 1 or a County Caseworker 1; or
- Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
- Six months of professional human services or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
