Summary: The Nutrition Service Supervisor - Patient Services, directs and supervises Nutrition services activities to include Patient, and Meals on Wheels meal services in collaboration with departmental leadership. Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the setup and delivery of food to all service points as well as other nutrition products and services as required. Assists in the development of plans, methods and procedures for improving the overall operations of the department, including quality improvement processes.
- Ensures all nutritional information for use by food service personnel in preparation and setup of food is correct. Adhering to all departmental policies as well as local agencies to include the local Health department and accreditation agencies.
- Coordinates activities of staff to ensure that all meals are prepared and delivered as scheduled. Assists as needed to expedite the flow of work in the kitchen and food service department. Monitors and oversees, the workflow ensuring that all meals are proper for the required diets in the patient services area and Meals on Wheels service.
- Ensures all policy and regulatory standards are met, including Health Department regulations and DNV standards. Enforces a "clean as you go" and proper food handling culture.
- Trains/orients, directs and supervises food service staff. Participates in hiring and performance management processes. Participates in supervisory and other meetings and holds, staff meetings as necessary.
- Makes staffing decisions and adjustments as necessary to accommodate department needs.
- Completes all daily Checks and Services. Identifies any equipment concerns, as well as taking measures to repair or replace non-functional equipment. Assists in the control of assets, to include food cost and paper waste and all other asset management.
- Utilizes the appropriate Food management software effectively in completing all patient food meal service requirements as well as software related to Meals on Wheels.
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned in order to meet the needs of the department and organization in providing care to our patients, staff and appropriate departments.

* High school diploma or equivalent * Two (2) years food service experience * One (1) year supervisory experience preferred. * ServSafe certification preferred
