We are currently hiring for:

Job Title: Safety Manager

Job Summary: Safety Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of Health, Safety, and Security policies while complying with OSHA and EPA standards. The Safety Manager will provide leadership and guidance through change management and enhancing a culture of safety awareness.

Compensation Details: $75,733 - $90,000+ depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities:




  • Implements and develops procedures with management that effectively identifies and controls hazards to prevent injury.



  • Develops and implements Safety programs, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.



  • Aides in the development of new managers in the organization in areas of safety and health and drives change as needed.



  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of incidents and metrics to appropriate governmental agencies and risk management personnel.



  • Monitors accident trends to target areas of deficiency and makes recommendations to prevent future occurrences.



  • Coordinates industrial hygiene monitoring and identifies potential overexposures.



  • Assists in conducting training for team members, supervisors and sub-contractors as needed.



  • Assists in conducting incident investigations and completing recordkeeping requirements.



  • Stay abreast of state and federal laws and regulations that impact general industry and construction.



  • Responsible for Workers' Compensation program including injury management and oversight of Health Services.



  • Managing costs for the department.



  • Monitors daily activities to ensure a safe work environment, through training, audits, inspections, and enforcement.



  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of safety.



  • Lead internal teams, safety related activities and projects.



  • Partner with all departments, management and team members to promote safety.


  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience including safety related position and/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA and other applicable Federal and State legislations.
  • Basic First Aid Certification, EMT licenses and knowledge of Worker's Compensation is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team of resourceful and skilled team members.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Advanced computer skills including Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of Kronos or other timekeeping system.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Coaching and performance management experience a plus.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including root cause analysis.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
