What You Will Do

As an Operations Intern you will work with our operations team on projects to improve efficiency and up time while learning new skills that will prepare you for future roles. Previous interns have worked on various projects within one of our facilities including:

  • Assist operators with inspecting equipment, processing, and collecting data, performing reliability-based equipment care tasks, collecting samples and quality testing product.
  • Support the operations of the plant to safely produce, store, and ship product by completing safety and environmental checks, while contributing to a culture of personal and collective safety, accountability, and environmental compliance.
  • Partner with other operators, maintenance, and engineering to troubleshoot or repair equipment or plant issues.
  • Improve Operations work efficiency by identifying opportunities, develop plans, and implementing solutions
  • Learn the Fertilizer Manufacturing process and gain experience in training towards Area Certifications

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in, or a graduate of a relevant degree, certificate, or workforce training program
  • Willingness to work in an industrial environment which includes working both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather Working both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the role such as:
    • Climbing stairs, ladders, and working at heights
    • Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, and encapsulated suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment or previous military experience
