As an Operations Coordinator at IDEXX BioAnalytics, you will be a key contributor at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to support the daily logistics and administrative functions of our laboratory operations. This role is essential to ensuring smooth delivery workflows, vendor coordination, purchasing, and employee support across multiple departments. IDEXX BioAnalytics, Inc., a division of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is a leader in diagnostic testing for both the biomedical and life science market. The laboratory is based in Columbia, Missouri and employs approximately 70 people.

In This Role:

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Dock & Delivery Management

  • Receiving and coordinating all incoming deliveries (FedEx, UPS, Fisher, etc.)
  • Communicating with carriers during inclement weather to ensure sample integrity
  • Notifying recipients of package arrivals and resolving PO-related delivery issues
  • Monitoring outgoing shipments and USPS mail throughout the day

Receiving & Reconciliation

  • Reconciling packing slips, invoices, and standing orders
  • Managing SAP receiving for lab orders

Purchasing and Expense Reporting

  • Procuring lab supplies and services using a company credit card
  • Reconciling monthly credit card transactions and submit expense reports

Vendor Services Coordination

  • Managing relationships and invoices for vendors including medical and chemical waste, lab coat services, shredding, and coffee & kitchen services.

Event Planning and Budget Oversight

  • Planning and executing employee appreciation events, client audits, and customer visits

Employee and Client Support

  • Coordinating new hire onboarding, badges, and Occupational Medicine program
  • Setting up new clients in the Laboratory Information Management System
  • Supporting operational metrics and miscellaneous lab tasks as needed

What Do You Need to Succeed?

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with supply ordering and expense reporting systems
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and coordinate logistics
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to devise tracking systems and efficient reporting
  • Reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as appropriate.
  • Extensive sitting and computer use.
  • May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person.
  • Fluency in the English language.

2+ years' relevant experience preferred

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Schedule:

This is a full-time day shift position with hours Monday - Friday, 8:00-5:00pm. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position. Extended hours may sometimes be required.
