Here's how you'll make an impact:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AP-related inquiries, resolving discrepancies and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Monitor and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts on a daily and weekly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries with proper documentation and compliance.
  • Assist with timely and accurate completion of month-end close and reporting activities.
  • Analyze data inputs and outputs related to the company's diverse cost structures to identify anomalies and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory integrity through regular audits and reconciliation processes.
  • Support internal and external tax teams by preparing schedules, explaining supporting documentation, and providing relevant financial data.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and ad hoc assignments, including financial system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs.

To succeed, you will need

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable operations.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • This role may occasionally require off-hour work to meet business needs, such as monthly reporting deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and cost accounting methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP and SAP is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
